We have no words to share yet. We are filled with peace, sadness, gratitude, and awe of the miracle of life and the privilege to be Jesse's parents.
Our dear friend, Molly Wales, shared in the journey of bringing Jesse into this world. These are her words and her pictures:
"Hi everyone. Hanna asked me to send you some pictures of Jesse, so you "can see how perfect he is." In the first one, he has been born for only a couple of minutes. The second is of his baptism.
Hanna labored so beautifully. Her strength, and the connection between her and Dan...I don't even know what to say. Jesse was born alive. I don't really know how long he lived, but it was long enough to hear his parents talk to him, to look into their eyes, to be baptized, to know the warmth of their arms. He was so serene, this perfect little life.
Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. It was clear, in that room, that we were living love."
